The Area of Nueva Andalucia
Nueva Andalucia, Spain is a highly desirable residential area just outside of Marbella. Originally developed in the late 1960’s from farmland it has continued to grow due to its close proximity to Puerto Banus with its amazing luxury boats, designer shops, restaurants and night clubs and its easy access to Marbella.
The area is also popular for its abundance of golf courses, some championship courses, all within a few minutes drive of each other and often referred to as “The Golf Valley”. The golf clubs here are Aloha, Las Brisas, Los Naranjos, Dame de Noche, Magna Marbella and the La Quinta Golf and Country club is also close by.
As the area developed so did the infrastructure and the facilities available such as bars, restaurants shops, sports facilities, medical surgeries are many. It is also an active all year round location as it is not just a holiday area but very residential amongst a very large cosmopolitan community of owners from all areas of Europe.
Aloha
This area was one of the first areas of “The Golf Valley' to be developed and most properties consisting of apartments, townhouses and villas were built with their boundaries overlooking the golf course. Due to their impressive location of being front line to the golf course most of the properties despite being old have been reformed with modern features. As there was plenty of land available at the time of construction a lot of the areas are privileged to have large lush green areas of tropical plants and trees.
Las Brisas
The focal point of this area in the central sector of the “The Golf Valley “ is the golf course of Las Brisas which focuses on an enclosed course in the centre of the valley with a main road encircling the whole of the course.
Here there are mainly luxury villas that have an emphasis on modern and classic contemporary style architecture with their tropical gardens running down to the golf course and some having direct access. Many of these homes have replaced old structures to make way for new builds with all the latest design appliances.
On the south western side of the course the land becomes elevated and offers amazing views to sea and the La Concha mountain from many villas and apartments.
Los Naranjos
Like Aloha and Las Brisas this also follows the name of the golf club that it looks upon. Located on the western sector of this environmentally green area of Nueva Andalucia the course is surrounded by medium and large luxury villas and some prestigious apartments with outstanding views. Most properties here are within walking distance of the fashionable golf clubhouse which offers first class facilities to members and non-members alike.
La Cerquilla
Probably considered the most exclusive area of Nueva Andalucia, it is located on the northern slopes of the Golf Valley. It has amazing views across the golf courses, the dominance of La Concha mountain and the blue Mediteranean sea.
The villas in this area tend to be of grand design and very imposing with manicured, landscaped tropical gardens and all modern day conveniences.
Bellevue
A small, new gated development of one and two storey stylish private villas located just north west of Los Naranjos off the road leading up to La Quinta. Being on a gradient of the hillside most of the villas enjoy a elevated southerly view.
Parcelas del Golf
A very sought after gated area located on the edge of Las Brisas golf course. The properties consist of large and medium size villas located on sizeable plots with some of the properties located front line to the Las Brisas golf course. The attraction to this urbanisation is that it is very private and within walking distance to many restaurants, shops and sport facilities.
Vega Colorado
This a relatively new area of that has been developed in the last ten years and is located on the extreme north west of Nueva Andalucia that borders with La Quinta.
It is a sector of large private luxury villas that enjoy the open countryside aspect yet less than ten minutes drive to the Puerto Banus. It has a strong gated security presence with only one access by private road to reach these exclusive properties.
