Puerto Banus Bullring set to Reopen as new Marbella Arena

This summer the old bullring of Puerto Banus in Nueva Andalucia is set to reopen as the fabulous MARBELLA ARENA, which will generate 300 direct jobs and over 600 direct and indirect jobs once the venue is open according to promoters.

At the end of 2018, it was announced that Grupo Teatro Goya would invest 30 million Euros into the project, creating a spectacular cultural auditorium capable of facilitating over 5,000 people of which 1,000 can be comfortably seated around the arena.  Marbella VIP’s will also have access to 60 gallery boxes constructed in three tiers and the layout will ensure that it takes 15 minutes to fill the arena and only 6 minutes to vacate.

Just days ago, MARBELLA ARENA signed an agreement with the music company “Sunset Events”, established by renowned music programmer Miguel Ángel Camacho along with the cultural producer Francisco Espinosa.  Sunset Events will be in charge of scheduling all the concerts and shows held at the MARBELLA ARENA Auditorium from this summer.

The Marbella Arena is set to feature a state of the art auditorium for public and private events such as concerts, sporting events and shows.  The venue will offer plenty of terraces for various restaurants and the space will be divided into over 20 commercial premises.  There are also plans to cover the arena over the winter so the venue can be enjoyed all year round.

In November 2018, the promoters Luis Miguel Martín and Rafael Sánchez, of the business group TeatroGoya cinema complex in Puerto Banús and Casa Rusia announced that Marbella Arena would be a long-term project.
